Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, and Ron Paul will debate tonight in Mesa Arizona. The debate is to be hosted by CNN and moderated by John King

Tonight the nation will turn its eyes on Mesa Arizona, as the GOP Republican presidential hopefuls take the stage for their latest primary debate.   The event’s timing brings with it the potential to elevate Arizona issues through the GOP fight for the nomination.

Arizona was one of the hardest hit states when the housing market and the economy as a whole collapsed in 2008 under then President George W. Bush.  While there has been good news on the Arizona housing market, we still have a long way to go.  President Obama recently pointed the spotlight back on housing when he introduced legislation that would allow homeowners that are upside down on their homes yet still current on their payments to refinance down to today’s low rates.   I would love to here if the GOP candidates agree or disagree with his proposal.

John King will be moderating the debate tonight on CNN, he will be fielding questions from social media sites with an emphasis on questions western voters would like to hear answered.

The debate will take place at the Mesa Arts Center downtown, the candidates will be centered around a table to give a more intimate feeling.  This will also be the last GOP debate before Michigan and Arizona primary contests to be held on the 28th.

Do you think the candidates should be questioned on the housing market? What questions would you like to hear asked?  Leave your comments below.
